File Sharing

For me, I think it is hard to define a good and bad when it comes to file sharing. I think a good way to separate sharing into good and bad is if your file sharing is stopping you from buying music you would usually buy, then it might be a little ethically questionable. I'll admit sometimes I don't always live up to this rule, but I do agree with those that choose to go around the big record labels for music. Regardless of the right or wrongness of file sharing it seems be something that is here to stay. Instead of trying to end file sharing, major record labels should be finding ways to use file sharing and the internet to help promote their artists.

Analog/Digital

I think the move to digital over analog has been the right choice. The convince digital provides over analog far outweighs any quality lost. Music for example, with my ipod i can carry all of my songs with me instead of worrying about storing a bunch of vinyls. When looking at movies today, digital software has allowed us to make scenes that we couldn't do in the past. While analog may have a little better quality, the digital movement is allowing us to do things we never could with analog.
